Matchmaking Ranking (MMR) points are gained or lost depending on the outcome of the game. The better the performance, the more MMR you can earn such as MVP or having a high KDA. However, if you lose a game, you will also lose MMR. Earn MMR to gain ranks and climb the leaderboard. Ranks are not based on reaching a certain MMR. All players are placed on the leaderboard then sorted from a player who has the highest MMR down to the player with the lowest MMR. Based on this leaderboard, players are assigned ranks corresponding to the percentage for each tier. Every hour, we update all player’s rank based on players MMR.
Here are the ranks and player distribution: Champion - Top 1% Grandmaster - Top 2-3% Master - Top 4-8% Diamond - Top 9-18% Platinum - Top 19-41% Gold - Top 42-50% to Bottom 27-50% Silver - Bottom 11-26% Bronze - Bottom 10%
